In this class, we will explore various YouTube series for linguistic and cultural learning content. YouTube has an immense amount of English language content which can serve a variety of educational purposes, so much so that it can be overwhelming to learners how to make the best use of what is out there. For this reason, this course will attempt to curate Over the 15 weeks of this class, students will be guided through 15 current social, political issues, educational issues. We will also look at functional English elements found in videos.  Students will produce their own short videos where they explore an issue (or issues of their choice) and will include speech acts that they learned about in the class.
