In this class you will think about how to give effective, interesting presentations on various topics. You will make 3 short presentations over the semester. You will also give one longer presentation at the end of the semester. Besides presenting, you will use all the basic language skills: listening (to example presentations and other students, reading (examples of presentation notes), writing (your own presentation notes), and speaking (giving presentations). Therefore, you will get an all-around review of basic English.


  • Become comfortable speaking in front of an audience
  • Learn how to present your ideas clearly and logically
  • Improve ad-libbing abilities in English
