This Project offers you the chance to learn about sustainability, event and media planning, local area as well as leisure sports tourism . Students will be expected to assist an ongoing project by commmunicating with Fortune 500 companies ( corporate sponsors), artists/designers, athletes as well as government and schools. Field research is key and guest speakers will be invited. For this Project, excellent speaking and writing skills in Japanese and English are needed. An extra foreign langauge is ideal.

You will learn about the sustainability issues related to the marine environment, city planning and large sporting events. You will be assiting an exsiting community organization with their event, media and program planning. You will also help organize out of class marine leisure sports program for youth (Sailing Experience Activity).
