Procedures for Registering for English Section Classes (Intensive & Project English):

To register for English Intensive 1 or Project English A, B, or C, students must submit a TOEFL score that meets the proficiency level required for the course. If no score has been registered, or if your score does not meet the required level, your registration will be removed at the time of the lottery, and you will be excluded from the screening.

When registering for courses, be sure to click the “check” button and confirm there are no errors in your entry.

No additional permissions will be granted by individual lecturers. Please do not inquire with teachers directly about changes to registration. A further lottery will be held during the second course registration period only for courses that do not reach capacity.

Please note that students can only take up to two Project English classes (4 credits) per semester.

New Changes to English Section Classes & Registration for Spring 2023

With the start of a new Academic Year English Section is introducing several new changes to our course offerings. For those interested in taking classes with English Section, please note the following information:

  • *NEW* Introducing  English Intensive 1: For students with a TOEFL score of 449 or below, this 4-credit Intensive course offers an opportunity to quickly improve your skills in English. For more information click here.
  • Project English TOEFL Requirements: Level A (450-490); Level B (471-535); Level C (516 or higher)
  • *NEW* English Section Registration: Registration for all English Section Classes (Intensive & Project English) will be carried out using the Student Screening System (SOL-A). For more information please contact the Academic Affairs Office.
