Greetings and welcome to my profile page! My name is Jon Trace, and I started teaching at SFC in 2016. While my interests in English and language are broad, the most important thing to me is making language useful. I begin every class with the same question: what do you want to be able to do with English? We learn through action, through using language, and while there are lots of things I love to do in English (discussions, reading, interacting through games and creative writing), the focus of my classes is on what you want to be able to do in language, what’s valuable for you--and sometimes the best part of this is helping you discover your values for English together. |
