The goal of this class is to enable students to explain life in Japan in their own words. In particular, we will think about how Japan is shown in overseas media compared to actual daily life in Japan. Students will prepare a presentation script on a familiar topic each week, then choose one script to present to the class about every two weeks.

Delivery: Online (conducted from SFC classroom). This class will be a "live" class. Please prepare a sufficient Internet connection, PC, microphone, Web camera, etc.

  • Learn how to explain Japanese customs and culture in simple English
  • Build confidence in presentation and speaking ability
  • Practice giving original short presentations in English
